Shadow Work Part 1

Updated: Nov 25, 2023

As the seed became a seedling.

Our personal (spiritual, physical, and mental/emotional) growth, is simple, yet as complex, as growing a seedling (infant/baby plant). And is the essential key, to our growth as a collective; to grow into who we are as people, in the world we live in.

During the seeds germination process (Germination is the process it takes a plant to go from seed to spore; roots planted into the ground and the nutrients it receives), inside that seed is an embryo, and for the seed to fully blossom and create life it needs; a womb. The earth, warmth, and Darkness; moisture/Nutrition rich soil.

Once the outer shell of the seed softens enough for the embryo to absorb the nutrients it gains strength and begins to expand its range of growth, giving it the strength to shed off its shell and grow bigger.

As the plant grows stronger it rises toward the magnetic warmth of the sun, and as it gets taller the deeper the roots grow; even then, that's not the end of its growth.

That is only the beginning.

How we relate:

Think of the physical body as the hard external shell of that seed, and your spirit (Inner child) is the embryo inside of that shell. Making us a "Starseed". For your spirit to truly break through your shell (physical flesh) it needs to be nourished.

How can you nourish your soul?

To be Germinated:

You must first understand how to take care of the shell in order to get to the core. This means eating properly, drinking water, meditating, and finding time for yourself!

At the beginning of all phases of growth; we all experience an amount of shadow time. (Just as the seed is placed inside the warm 'dark' dirt) This state is called a "Shadow period"; in this phase, we are in a constant state of observation, absorbing/consuming our external energy (flesh/body) and absorbing the frequencies of our environment. Because believe it or not, we are constantly consuming everything in our personal space, and in our everyday lives.

The feelings of others, their expressions, the weight and stress of the world, and the effects we all have upon each other.

As a Starseed, in fertile soil and need a growing environment, suitable for mental/spiritual and physical growth; it is very important for us as individuals to put ourselves in a space where we can properly grow. So, we can plant our roots. Planting our roots firmly as individuals; not only helps us gain nutrition, but it gives us the strength to stand on our own and as a collective. So, we must be aware now of what we consume because it is important to put ourselves first, while we are growing.

In this time, it is good to feed your mind as you would water that seedling; In some phases in our life, such as the process of a seedling being placed in the darkness of the soil, we too, must go through shadow periods.

During this part of our growing phase, we all hit a point in our life (no matter the age) where we 'see' The beginning of an awakening, which sometimes can be very hard and painful. Even seen as "rock bottom" and low feeling points in life; A testing period of growth and sometimes death (even in the ways of shedding away of what we no longer need.). Which could 'feel' negative. (rage-full actions/childlike anger, Temper tantrums, midlife crisis, dark night of the soul, and ego death, Birth/Rebirth.)

Within us all is the balance of duality.

Both light and dark. (The light is the things that help you physically grow, the tangible life that is easier operated through, attachments/relationships, manifestations, and bringing life forward, and the dark is grounding yourself to stability, allowing yourself to be rooted into the truth, thoughts/feelings [positive and negative] and also being able to shed and detach from things that are no longer serving you.)

Value your worth and what you allow into your personal space.

Think of your physical body as the shell of a seed, and your mind/spirit as the Embryo inside the seed. Your mind is the most powerful part of who you are. It is the baseline of your actions and the stem of your personality. Beneath the surface, your mind is a realm that only you have access to; A Shadow world that, even if we were to make eye contact, we still could not see the depths of which we all flow. So you, as the shell and embryo, must have a clear understanding of what it is you need to bring forth; so that you can flourish thee as the free spirit (embryo) inside. Manifest your intentions for your life and make mental space and clear out thoughts that are unproductive and clear away bad habits.

Express all things that have been bottled up.

Just as plants, leaves, and vegetation shed; we shed the same but in habitual needs, whether it be letting go of negative behavioral patterns/people/places/things that no longer serve our higher purpose in life. So how is it that you as a shell can give a range for your soul to have more room to grow? By removing things from your space that inhibits you to expand.

Your mind, your spirit, your expression.

Allow things to flow as they come and leave as they pass and allow yourself to flow the same; when you feel an action from you is necessary to be made, make it. Don't wait for "the right time", because it will never come; make the opportunity and take the full amount of your "time" as you are given.

Take action and take responsibility for those actions.

Deal with conflict as it arises till there's no more returning to it and do so without escaping or running away from your side of the confrontation; Allow yourself to calmly (as you can) experience your situation objectively (take your emotions out of the situation) so you can have a deeper outlook of your conflict and so it can become easier to find a resolution.

Leave NO Task incomplete!

Even in conversation, express all there is to be expressed so there's no " should have, could have, would have", so you create a counter habit to your non-expression. When you do not allow yourself to be heard, you create a pattern/habit on your own of feeling unheard.

Don't be afraid to set firm boundaries and allow yourself to say "NO"!

Saying no is powerful when it comes to protecting your aura and allowing yourself to be selfish when it is necessary; recognize, you can only help those who help themselves and when 'you' yourself are properly situated to be of help. If your boundaries get crossed, REMEMBER, let whoever knows that your line has been crossed. Be sure not to misplace your emotions/thoughts in a situation and give it back to whoever it was that gave them to you.

Breathe.

Start better habits so you can let go of bad habits.

Put yourself in the mindset of "DO" not "TRY"! When you 'Do' something you put full forward effort into your movement, but when you 'try' it becomes easier to use minimal effort.

As you feed your mind the nutrition you need, you will notice the ease of thought and expression that comes with simply letting go; and by letting go you allow your hard outer shell to soften and be susceptible to knowledge and growth; So, that means leaving and letting go of things that do not serve your better purpose. Which also means letting go of the hurt emotion to understand why you were even hurt. Talk about things you have yet to express; let it out!

Doing these things allows you to take power and proper care of yourself and your emotions, and that side of you the world doesn't get to see with the naked eye (The Shadow self). Once your roots have been firmly planted within your boundaries, then you have the ability to be lifted beyond your situation and see the light of the Sun.

Breathe in abundance.
